Does this actually work? I just need to see pushover messages appearing on my desktop somehow and would prefer to avoid 3rd party unknown add-ons if Pushover is supposed to handle this natively. Their help page was last updated 2 years ago and a google search results in nothing. They appear on my iphone as expected and I paid for the app and it appears as the (only) device to receive messages (which in itself is confusing as I would expect it to show my current web browser as a destination). This still doesn't result in any messages appearing. I have also followed their instructions to ensure I can receive notifications. While this does mean that you have to keep your web browser open to receive notifications, most users have a web browser open all the time anyway. By having your web browser running and a tab open to our Desktop client app website, your browser will be in constant communication with our servers and generate notifications just like your mobile devices. Once you do that, the next time you open a mailto link like the one above, it should open Outlook automatically. Click the Default email reader option, and select Microsoft Outlook. There is nothing to download or install and it works on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, and other Unix flavors. Open the Preferences menu, then select General. Using Pushover for Desktop Pushover for Desktop is an in-browser app. 1.) Open the Mail program and click on the Mail menu and select Accounts if it isnt already selected by default.
